JONES CREEK, Texas -

A man is in custody in the Brazoria County Jail after admitting to investigators that he shot his father to death.

Clinton Anthony Sutton Jr., 23, is charged with murder (firearm) and is in jail on a $2,000,000 bond.

Deputies with the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office arrived late Tuesday afternoon to a home on County Road 400 in the Jones Creek area in response to a 911 call. When they arrived, Rebeca Victoria Steinett-Humaran told deputies that Sutton Jr. had choked her and that he had killed his father, 51-year-old Clinton Anthony Sutton Sr.

Upon further investigation, deputies found physical evidence that led them to believe a homicide had taken place in the home. After they obtained search warrants, deputies searched the property and found human remains.

During an interview with deputies, Sutton Jr. admitted he had shot his father in the head after he had been shot in the back by someone else.

Deputies recovered a .44 Magnum pistol along with several assault rifles.

The body that was found was taken to the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office so that an autopsy could be performed. Investigators are also trying to verify the identity of the body with dental records.

Steinnett-Humaran was also placed in the Brazoria County Jail for an outstanding warrant from Montgomery County.
