Brother beats teen sister to death, deputies say

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

Detectives are calling the crime scene in Magnolia "disturbing."

Just before noon Tuesday, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office got a call about family violence in the 24200 block of Marshburn Drive in southeast Montgomery County.

When deputies arrived, they found 17-year-old Stephanie Bijseauneau with apparent blunt force trauma to her face and head.

Her brother, 19-year-old Jordan Abel, was hiding in a closet with what looked like a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest.

Montgomery County Sheriff's detectives said Jordan killed his sister and tied up his 15-year-old girlfriend.

"The reportee was tied up with duct tape, so she was able to untie herself and run to a neighbor's home and call for help," Lt. Bill Bucks said.

The victim's parents, a number of relatives and close friends looked on in disbelief, occasionally wiping away tears while they waited for more information.

"Yeah, I seen him a couple of times out working with his dad" Leon Warr, a neighbor, said

Warr said he really only sees the family in passing since the area is pretty quiet and everyone sticks to themselves.

While neighbors may not know each other personally, Angie Kirtley said her heart goes out to them.

"They didn't just lose one child.  It was two, in one day," Kirtley said.

Jordan, the suspect, is in custody but remains hospitalized since it's believed he may have taken a number of medications before detectives arrived on scene.

As for his girlfriend, she too remains in the hospital before officers are able to speak with her about what exactly may have happened before the deadly dispute.
