LIBERTY, Texas -
Rayford Tyrone Ellis, who is among the men charged in the sexual assault of a young girl in Cleveland, is being sought by Liberty County deputies on an unrelated assault charge.
Ellis, 21, is charged with aggravated assault-deadly weapon, a felony offense. He is accused of assaulting someone with a weapon on County Road 331 around 3:30 a.m. on July 15, according to a statement released by the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. The assault victim suffered "serious bodily injury."
Anyone who encounters Ellis should consider him dangerous and deputies have not determined if he is carrying any weapons with him.
