A young man never got the chance to attend Texas Southern University after he collapsed and died in the school's recreation room.
Justin Jamal Lee, 20, was working out in the rec room when he suffered a seizure around 9 a.m. Monday, a TSU spokeswoman said.
Lee's dad saw him collapse and tried to revive him with CPR. Houston Fire Department medics arrived but could not pick up any vital signs.
He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and pronounced dead.
Prior to his death, he was signed up to enroll at TSU in the fall. His mother works at the school.
