An early-morning accident ended with the death of the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee after he was thrown from the vehicle.
The accident took place around 4 a.m. Thursday on Fallbrook Drive near Veterans Memorial Drive in northwest Harris County. The driver of the white Grand Cherokee was traveling westbound on Fallbrook Drive at a high rate of speed when he missed a curve in the road and caused the sport utility vehicle to strike a center median.
After the Grand Cherokee struck the median, the driver lost control of the SUV which caused it to roll over several times in the eastbound lanes before finally landing in a wooded area on the side of the road.
The driver was thrown from the Grand Cherokee and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
