A woman, a young girl and a man died early Thursday in a house fire in northeast Harris County.
An arson investigator says it appears the victims were a mother and her seven-year-old daughter. The third victim has not been identified, but is believed to be the husband and father of the victims.
Firefighters from the Westfield Fire Department and at least two other volunteer fire departments arrived just after 12 a.m. Thursday to find flames coming from the home on Cicada Lane near Boreas Drive.
When firefighters arrived, they found a man, trying to break back into the house to rescue his family. He was eventually taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
The bodies of the victims were found in the rear of the house.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
