NAACP convention tackles African-American unemployment

HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

While the national unemployment rate is stuck above 8 percent, joblessness among African Americans is almost twice that level.

But the NAACP national convention in Houston is making an effort to reduce that number.

When the organization talks about "advancement", a lot of that can come with a job.

FOX 26 business reporter, Tom Zizka, says an annual convention career fair gets the conversation going between employer and potential employee.
