HOUSTON (FOX 26) -

A reporter for the news website "Politico" was suspended for a week over controversial comments about White House hopeful Mitt Romney.

In an MSNBC interview, Joe Williams suggested Romney has a big obstacle to overcome by this fall. He said Romney can't connect with people who are not like him.

Williams blames a smear campaign by conservative media outlets for his suspension.
