Police say a home invasion suspect had to be taken to a hospital, courtesy of baseball bat-wielding neighbors.
Around 1:30 a.m. Monday, Pasadena Police say they got a call about a home invasion in the 900 block of Perla.
Neighbors heard three men go into that home and went to confront them, baseball bats in hand. The trio fled in their getaway car, but not before one of them was severely beaten by those neighbors.
A responding officer noticed the getaway car leaving and gave pursuit. The officer pulled the car over and noticed one of the passengers looked badly beaten up.
A LifeFlight medical helicopter was sent to take the one suspect to the hospital. His condition is not known. The other two were arrested.
Officers found money, drugs (pills) and guns in the car. Investigators believe the home invasion may be drug-related.
