HOUSTON (FOX 26) -
Despite lightning striking and sparking a fire at a southwest Houston home, the residents were not hurt and the house was not left with heavy damage.
The residents told Houston firefighters that they heard lightning strike the home around 11:30 p.m. Thursday and observed the lights flickering in the house on Dumfries Drive.
The lightning strike did leave smoke and burn damage in the attic of the home. Heavy amounts of rain fell in the neighborhood as a result of the late-night thunderstorm.
