A high school party turned into an investigation after the disappearance of a 19-year-old girl in Liberty County.
According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, Amber Gorgeous went missing overnight near State Highway 105 at the Trinity River. It was there a group of high school students was holding a graduation party.
As of 9:55 a.m. Thursday, the sheriff's office says Amber was found safe. They say she was "a little shaken up" and was being interviewed by investigators.
There were concerns foul play may have been involved in her disappearance.
Deputies say gunshots were fired during the party, and the teen's car was later found about 300 yards south of the party grounds. The driver's side window on her car was broken. Deputies also say Gorgeous' cell phone was turned off.
The sheriff's office says the missing teen is due to graduate from high school on Thursday, and in recent days there were several graduation parties being held at that spot along the river.
