This 62-year-old woman has been in a coma for two months and has only been given another month or so to live.
In addition to planning a funeral, the woman's niece Barbara Mensah has spent days pleading with Reliant not to turn the power off.
"They keep saying mam, I can't talk to you you're not the account holder we have to talk to her," Mensah said.
But as you can see, this Reliant account holder isn't able to talk to anybody.
"I wish she could talk to Reliant, I wish something magical could happen where she could jump out of that bed," Mensah said.
Mensah can't hold out for a miracle with this cold reality staring her in the face.
The Reliant bill is overdue and at any moment this respirator could become as silent as the only person Reliant says can request a payment extension.
"I invited them, you can just come by here you can see, they say they don't have anybody to do that," Mensah said. "All they are looking at is it's not in my name."
Mensah assured Reliant the bill would be paid by June 3. But the light company statement says pay by May 21 or else.
FOX 26 called Reliant and now Barbara doesn't have to worry. In a prepared statement Reliant told us,
"We understand this is a very difficult time for the family and we are working closely with them.
"We have put a medical hold on the account to ensure they continue to get power.
"It is very important for all electrical customers that you contact your electricity provider as soon as you can if you are having trouble paying your bill or you have a medical condition. We are committed to our customers and want to work together on options and solutions."
