QUESTION FROM DANA: I have received a Camera Traffic Violation ticket and will like to know if these tickets are legal to pay now are can I take it to court to fight it?
CHRIS TRITICO'S ANSWER: As of today no court has yet ruled them uncostitutional. Therefore they are legal. There is no right to a jury trial on these tickets only a right to an administrative proceeding. You can contact one of the lawyers in town that specialize in traffic tickets and they can assist you wiht this. These tickets, howerver, donot add driving points to you record and should not raise your insurance rates as they are administrative only. It may be cheaper to just payu it andmove on.
Good luck,
Chris
