A young Arlington pastor was found dead in his church .
Clint Dobson, grew up in Clear Lake. Dobson and his family have been members of University Baptist Church for more than 20 years.
Today, associate pastor, Rick Carpenter, remembered the young man who interned at the church in 2005 and 2006.
"He was the kind of guy that everybody likes. He really was. I know we always say that but he really was the kind of guy that everybody likes. He was fun to be around. He cared about people deeply," he said.
Carpenter said the 29-year-old became an outstanding preacher and focused on helping at-risk children. Dobson attended Baylor and that's where he first felt the calling to serve God.
Two years ago, Dobson moved to Arlington and served NorthPointe Baptist Church as a pastor. Clint and his wife, Laura, lived on the north side of town.
Now congregations at two churches are left to ask why. Pastor Carpenter said the answers may be tough to find, but their faith remains unwavering.
"I talked with Clint's mother this morning. Her strength remains strong. Her faith is in God, just like Clint's was."
University Baptist Church wants to honor Clint this weekend, but they're not sure right now exactly what they plan to do. They are hoping to hear more from Clint's parents who are in Arlington right now.
