A dangerous sex offender is on the 10 most wanted list here in Texas. The Department of Public Safety says Timothy Rosales Jr. escaped from a Houston halfway house on Beaumont Highway.
The 39-year-old fled the Reid Center last night where he was under electronic monitoring.
His ankle monitor was apparently removed. It was found nearby.
This is not the first trouble we've seen at the Reid center. Randy Wallace knows the facility well.

Reid Center released the following statement:
“The Reid Center is a residential re-entry center that provides temporary housing and transitional services for parolees, who have already completed their criminal sentence with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Without the services provided at the Reid Center, parolees would most likely otherwise be released directly into the community without any temporary housing and transitional services. Parolees who are assigned to the Ben Reid Center, and who again have already completed their criminal sentences, may receive authorization from their respective state parole officers to conduct community activities during the day, such as job searches and other community programs. These authorizations are reviewed and approved by individual state parole officers. The Center provides temporary housing and transitional services and does not determine which parolees are assigned to the Center. When parolees abscond from the Reid Center, authorities are immediately notified pursuant to the Center’s contractual requirements.”
