Natalie Bomke | FOX 26 Morning News Anchor & Reporter

Natalie Bomke's firecracker enthusiasm and quirky sense of humor make her a perfect candidate for "American Idol", or a morning co-anchor on FOX 26.

Bomke began anchoring and reporting for FOX 26 in the spring of 2010. You can see her weekday mornings from 4-10am.

Before arriving in Houston, Natalie co-anchored FOX40 Live in Sacramento, California. During the state's budget negotiations in 2009, she was selected for an exclusive one-on-one interview with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Natalie reported live under the San Francisco Bay Bridge during its major closure and reconstruction in the summer of 2009. And, to address Sacramento's growing need for transitional housing, Natalie invited Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson to stay overnight with her and a group of homeless citizens aiming to establish a city-sanctioned tent city. One month later, the mayor announced major plans to overhaul the city's short and long term housing goals with this particular group of people in mind.

Bomke served as the Morning Anchor, Reporter and Vermillion County Bureau Chief for WICD-TV in Champaign , Illinois . She started her career in her hometown of Springfield, Illinois as a Reporter and Morning News Cut-In Anchor with WICS-TV.

The University of Illinois is her alma mater and the Fighting Illini is her favorite team.

Natalie has a team of Persian cats named Scooter and Sophie who both love to make hairballs. She is sure that her brand new red cowboy boots won't be spared from the inevitable.
