Ford Atkinson, one of the weekend co-anchors, has won an Emmy, AP and other awards. He co-anchors the weekend edition of FOX 26 News at 9 and reports in the field during the week.
He has a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Northridge. Ford worked at television stations in Montana, Washington, Utah and Arkansas before arriving in Houston in 1982.
He was a reporter at KPRC-TV and worked as an executive assistant to a Harris County Commissioner.
Ford joined FOX 26 News as managing editor of City Under Siege in 1992. He has been in his current position since 1997. He has won an Emmy, AP and many other awards.
