Producer                                                          Full Time Regular

Responsible for writing news stories and teases, ordering graphics and assembling newscasts.  Write stories for Coordinate live coverage of news events and participate in the selection and development of stories. Create content for social media platforms. Perform other duties as assigned.

Four (4) year college degree required. Three (3) – Four (4) years' experience as a line producer in a medium to major market. Candidate must have strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skills.  Knowledge of social media platforms, TV production techniques and newsroom computer systems required.

Reporter/Fill In Anchor                         Full Time Regular

Provide original news content for KRIV FOX 26,, and associated media partners by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities: gather news information; write news stories, segment set up and special reports. Must enterprise and execute daily local stories. Write and produce content for and must be aggressive in enterprising contributions to social media efforts.  Will perform Fill In Anchoring duties on occasion. Perform other duties as assigned.

Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment and strong writing and performance skills required.  Must understand legal parameters pertaining to news and web content and thorough knowledge of current events and, government, court, police and other agency procedures. Must be capable of using news computer systems and be familiar with television and web production techniques. Must be capable of working and performing well under deadline pressures.  A professional appearance is essential.  Must annunciate clearly, and maintain a clear delivery during both live and taped reports.  4–year college degree required with emphasis in Communications and Journalisms required.  3 -5 years' experience in a medium to major market.



Promotions Manager                                        Full Time Regular

Assists the Vice President of Creative Services in the creation and development of all marketing strategies for KTXH-My20. Must have strong organizational and communication skills. Must be a skilled troubleshooter and creative problem solver in the day-to-day operations of the department.  Hands on writing, producing and editing of promotional messages (image/series/topical) a must, as well as a strong understanding of topical news promotion.  Must meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.  Work closely with media buyers on outside media placement and strategies. Produces and oversees all radio promotion and trafficking, as well as cable production/trafficking and other outside media.  Instrumental in all aspects of branding creation and execution. This position will also play a huge role in the duopoly's digital media efforts (e.g. Facebook, Web, APPS) as well as the creation and execution of daily social media content. Other duties as deem appropriate and assigned.


The ideal candidate must have promotion experience in a medium to major market.  Must be able to produce corporate presentations. Must be a liaison between station and syndicates, network and outside media representatives in regards to co-op, scheduling, spending and on-air product.  Experience in AVID editing is required. Two (2) to four (4) years is required.


Credit & Collections Manager                           Full Time Regular

The Credit & Collections Manager has responsibility for the following: maintaining account receivables; application of cash payments; collection of outstanding balances, granting credit and setting credit limits. Invoice maintenance and distribution, account reconciliation between the station's billing and financial systems. The Credit & Collections Manager must enforce policy and procedures as they pertain to credit & collections as well as post/reconcile Account Receivable logs with the Traffic and Sales departments. This position will also be responsible for various station financial reports. Other duties as deem appropriate and assigned.

Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree with a major or concentration in Accounting or related discipline is preferred.  Broadcast Finance experience is preferred. A minimum of three [3] or more years in corporate credit and collections is required.  Must possess good working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, have good math skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis in Excel.  Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to interact with all levels of station personnel.

Financial Analyst                                             Full Time Regular

The Financial Analyst has significant responsibility for providing complete, accurate, and timely accounting reports to management.  Must accurately interpret raw and summarized data from the Traffic and General Ledger systems.  Prepare all journal entries and analyses related to the accounting cycle closes, including standard, recurring, and adjusting journal entries and posting depreciation. Responsible for capitalizing fixed assets and maintaining the master asset list along with the related records.  The Financial Analyst will assist in regular auditing and testing. Assists in the annual SOX 404 testing and annual budget preparation. This candidate must have flexibility with work schedule. 


Requirements, Skills & Abilities: Four year college degree with a major or concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline is required.  Broadcast Finance experience is preferred. A CPA or MBA is required. A minimum of four [4] or more years of general accounting experience is required.  Must possess good working knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, have good math skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis in Excel.

NEWS DEPARTMENT: All News student interns will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced news environment. Overall, an internship with the News Department will involve assisting the news staff with compiling information, answering phones and other duties that will be useful in the news gathering process. This internship may include some field experience with News Reporters to cover developing stories. Student interns are expected to assist producers with researching. Also, student interns will assist Assignment Desk Editors and News Producers with phone calls to assist in the development of stories, as well as filing press releases, sorting scripts and writing practice scripts as needed. This internship requires learning the news computer system.

SPORTS DEPARTMENT: Student interns will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Department. Interns will help produce and edit sports stories for daily sportscasts. Student interns will assist in all facets of production. Duties include but are not limited to: checking wire reports, logging feeds and games, preparing initial scripts, working with editors to produce highlights, and retrieving and archiving videotapes. This internship may include some field experience to cover sports events with a crew. Student interns must be self-starters, organized, and able to work evening and weekends hours.

CREATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT/PROGRAMMING: Student interns will assist in the production of news and program promotion, as well as creation of broadcast graphics. Creative writing and journalism background preferred. Student interns must be enrolled in a Broadcast Journalism, Television/Radio, or comparable curriculum. Student interns will also be exposed to program scheduling, TV ratings research, operational procedures and more. Interns will also learn about FCC compliance, sales support and news research. The Department is responsible for maintaining the stations' public files, cable relations and communicating with the public.    

SALES/RESEARCH: The Sales Department is responsible for generating revenue via negotiations with commercial advertisers. Student interns will provide administrative support to account executives and sales coordinators. Internship activities may include contract entry, typing correspondence, faxing, filling contracts, copying, etc. There will also be telephone interaction with clients and advertising agencies and the opportunity to attend in person meetings with clients and advertising agencies. There may be opportunities for the student interns to spend time in the Traffic and Research departments as well. Student interns must have a desire to work in Sales and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. The Research Department supports various departments primarily through sales research and procedures.
