Doug Evans is an award-winning veteran FOX 5 reporter, host of Georgia's Most Wanted, and co-anchor of FOX 5 News on the weekends.
You can find Doug at the anchor desk every Saturday and Sunday at 6 and 10 p.m. But don't worry! Even as an anchor, he's still finding plenty of time to help local police track down Georgia's worst criminals.
With more than 20 years in television news, Doug's career includes reporting in St. Louis, Charlotte, Detroit and Atlanta. During his tenure in Detroit, Doug covered the many assisted suicides of Dr. Jack Kevorkian and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his special coverage of the Detroit Mafia.
Doug has won seven Emmy Awards as well as an Edward R. Murrow Award for news writing. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Master's in Journalism.
In 2004, Doug received a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Along with covering news and hosting Georgia's Most Wanted, Doug's specialties include severe weather reporting.
Doug and his wife Brenda have four children and live in Fayette County.
