Hotel Launches Underwater Honeymoon Suite

(NewsCore) - An exclusive hotel in the Maldives, an island nation in the Indian Ocean, announced Monday it was offering a unique wedding night experience -- a honeymoon suite five meters under water.
The Conrad Hotel in the Maldives turned its underwater restaurant into a honeymoon suite to celebrate the venue's fifth birthday.
The "Ithaa" suite, which has a luxiurous double bed, is under a curved glass dome among coral reef meters below the ocean's surface.
The suite includes Bvlgari toiletries and the hotel also offers to host the wedding as well, with a spa treatment, three-tier cake and bottle of wine thrown in.
The price of the suite is not advertised but its unlikely to be a cheap stay -- a room in the next-best room in the Conrad costs $1,794 per night.
