HOUSTON - Everyone in the Houston area learned the importance of having enough drinking water when Hurricane Ike struck in 2008. Several public water systems were not safe to drink from in the days after Ike's landfall.

The recommended supply of water to keep inside a home is one gallon per person per day. Keeping the suggested three days worth of water can be difficult but one device allows residents to take advantage of a bathtub for storage space.

The AquaPodKit is an easy way to store water in a liner for a bathtub; because it is sealed, it remains sanitary for drinking and is safe for children to be around. Texas resident David Dodgen invented the personal in-home water storage solution.

Dogden visits the FOXRAD Hurricane Briefing and demonstrates the AquaPodKit.
