MyFoxHouston - When hurricanes and other natural disasters strike, it can be very stressful to try and find out if family members and friends are safe and sound.

Today's FoxRad Hurricane Briefing guest has designed an innovative website to ease that stress and help keep everyone connected. Alvin Brown, Jr is the creator of wearesafeandsound.com. This website is a free service which provides a platform to communicate an important message to multiple people with one phone call. Mr.Brown explains all the details in today's briefing.

Meteorologist Mike Iscovitz also has an update on Hurricane Bill, which is still a dangerous category 3 hurricane.

Hurricane Bill is not a threat to Houston or the rest of the Gulf of Mexico coastline, however the island of Bermuda is in the path. By this weekend the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick make receive high winds and rain as Bill moves farther northward.

The is a very small chance that Bill could brush by New England.
