HOUSTON - The National Weather Service organizes a Hurricane Workshop soon before the season starts.
The hurricane preparedness event is free and open to the public and has become one of the largest in the U.S.
Gene Hafele is the meteorologist in charge of the Houston/Galveston office of the National Weather Service and he explains to FOX 26 meteorologist John Dawson how significant the event has become.
