Company Helps Elderly Cope With Heat

HOUSTON - With temperatures well above normal, TXU Energy is teaming up with Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston to help the elderly cope with the heat.

TXU delivered energy-saving tips Thursday to some 5,000 Interfaith Ministries clients who receive daily Meals on Wheels.

TXU also donated $10,000 to Interfaith Ministries to help spread the word on how to cope with Houston's heat and humidity.

Temperatures in the Houston area are expected to remain in the upper 90's throughout the weekend, FOX 26 Chief Meteorologist Dr. Jim Siebert said.
