Weather experts are looking into the possibility of a tornado touchdown in the Seabrook area as they continue to keep eye on strong to severe storms expected to hover over parts of southeast Texas Wednesday.

Reports of vehicle damage in the Seabrook area were made around 3:45 p.m.

The storms are expected to last throughout the afternoon, FOX 26 Meteorologist Mike Iscovitz said.

"Most of the activity will be south and east of Houston," Iscovitz said. "Storms will drop heavy rain and could also produce some penny to nickel-sized hail and strong winds."

Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Matagorda, Brazoria and parts of Harris County in the mid-afternoon after the weather experts at the National Weather Service said radars detected thunderstorms capable of producing quarter-sized hail and winds faster than 60 miles per hour.

Most of the storms are moving to the east.
