Witness Needed in East Freeway Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident

HOUSTON - Police say they need help in identifying the driver responsible for a fatal auto-pedestrian accident on the East Freeway.
Around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, a passerby spotted a woman lying in the grass by a westbound entrance ramp at Normandy.
Houston Police were called, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the vehicle that hit her did not stop.
A description of the victim was not immediately available.
HPD is asking for any witnesses to come forward. You can call anonymously at 713-222-TIPS.
