HOUSTON - Investigators are trying to determine what caused a motorcycle to hit a median and throw a rider across a northeast Harris County road.
The accident took place after 12 a.m. Monday on Bammel North Houston Road past Falling Creek Drive.
The rider was not wearing a helmet and was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
Investigators have not determined whether speed was a factor in the accident. The rider will be tested for alcohol consumption at the hospital.
