1 Dead in City of South Houston Crash

SOUTH HOUSTON, Texas - One person has died in an early morning accident in the City of South Houston.

Fire department rescuers responded to help remove a person who was trapped in the vehicle after it rolled several times.

Police say the crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday as the male driver traveled east on Winkler when for some reason he lost control and hit a ditch.

He was removed from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the hospital.

The cause of the crash is not known.
