Two weeks after losing his starting job to Ryan Moats, Houston Texans runningback Steve Slaton is back with the first team.
Slaton told FOX 26 Sports and the Houston Chronicle after practice on Saturday that he got the word from head coach Gary Kubiak that he was back in the starting lineup.
"I'm happy about it," said Slaton. "It's another opportunity and I have to take full advantage of it."
Slaton will start against the Titans on Monday night at Reliant Stadium.
Moats got his first start in the loss to Indianapolis because Slaton had fumbled seven times, losing five in the Texans first eight games.
Slaton is still the Texans leading rusher with 359 yards on 116 carries with three touchdowns.
