Texans Lose Daniels, Casey

HOUSTON - Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Monday Pro Bowl tight end Owen Daniels will need season-ending surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Daniels was leading all tight ends in the NFL in receiving yardage and was second in touchdown catches.

Kubiak also announced rookie tight end James Casey, who made the first two catches of his career in the win over Buffalo, underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Monday and he hopes to get him back in three weeks.
