Major League Baseball sources told FOX 26 Sports the Houston Astros are apparently focusing on four candidates as their search for a new manager continues.
The four candidates are former Washington Nationals manager Manny Acta, Boston Red Sox bench coach Brad Mills, former Astros manager Phil Garner and Astros interim manager Dave Clark.
Acta and Mills were in Houston Wednesday for their second interviews with club officials and that group now includes Astros owner Drayton McLane who had been out of the country.
General Manager Ed Wade confirmed Acta's second interview. He did not confirm Mills was brought back again.
"I can confirm that we met with Manny in a group that included Drayton," Wade said in an interview Wednesday with FOX 26 Sports.
The Astros began the interview process with a list of ten candidates.
