One of two gunmen who robbed a northwest Houston bank Monday told the tellers he was stealing the money because he needed to eat, FBI officials said.

The two men entered a bank in the 12500 block of Tomball Parkway Monday morning, and pulled out their weapons, according to a FBI statement. One of them pulled out a shotgun and forced a customer and bank employee to the floor while another approached the tellers with a handgun.

While pointing the handgun to the tellers, he demanded cash and said he was only robbing them so he could eat, according to the statement.

"They're not letting me work," the suspect told the tellers.

The suspect stashed the cash into a small, black nylon bank, and the suspects left the bank in a tan gray or silver 4-door Chrysler sedan with custom rims, according to the statement.

The robbery suspect armed with a handgun is described as a medium-built black man in his 30's and about 5 feet 7 inches tall, according to the statement. He wore a fake black beard and moustache during the robbery and was wearing a navy, short-sleeved Tommy Hillfiger T-shirt with "Tommy Sports" written on the front of it. He also was wearing dark sunglasses and carried the small nylon bag into the bank.

The robbery suspect armed with a shotgun is described as a thin-built blank man in his 20's and about 6 feet 3 inches tall, according to the statement. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and sunglasses during the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspects is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
