Sex Offender Arrested for Sex Assault

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas - A registered sex offender was arrested on accusations he sexually assaulted 2 children at a swimming pool.

Michael Page Summers, 33, was charged with indecency with a child, sexual contact and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Friendswood Police arrested Summers around 6:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Cobbler's Way in Heritage Park.

Summers was previously convicted of three counts of statutory sodomy in Missouri back in 1996.

His victims were 8, 4, and 1-year-old children.

Police note that he has been compliant with his sex offender registry requirement to register every 90 days.

On Aug. 25, police were contacted after a victim told her mother about an incident in a community pool.

The victims, two children under the age of 7, told police Summers had inappropriate contact with them under their swim suits while at the pool, according to a Friendswood Police Department statement.

The 35-year-old was visiting a friend in the Whitehill subdivision.

Summers is being held in Friendswood Municipal Jail pending transfer to Galveston County Jail on $250,000 bond for each charge.
