HOUSTON, Texas - A gas line ruptured off NASA Road 1 and Saturn Lane, forcing officials to close off the street.
The 6-inch steel gas line was struck by a construction crew, according to Centerpoint Energy.
Crews are working to repair the damage, but it is unknown as to how long that will take.
Seabrook Police shut down the 2000 to 2500 blocks of NASA Parkway.
There is a shelter in place, 2-square miles around the leak site in the 2800 to 3000 blocks of the closed street, according to the Seabrook Police Department.
There were reports an animal hospital near the area may be evacuated because of the leak.
