BAYTOWN, Texas - Robbers stole $8,000 worth of tattoo equipment from a Baytown residence, but now without leaving its owner with a gunshot wound.
Baytown Police officers found Gary Spratley, 42, suffering a single gunshot wound to the shoulder in the 4600 block of Village Lane.
Spratley told police on Aug. 4 he was at the Village Lane Apartment Complex to complete a tattoo for an unidentified subject, according to a Baytown PD statement.
When he arrived to the complex shortly before midnight, two black males shot him.
He wasn't able to identify the shooter, but did tell police his tattoo equipment had been stolen.
At least one of the black male suspects is believed to have fled the scene in a white Ford Crown Victoria.
