HOUSTON - A former Texas prison guard wanted in connection to the murders of his wife and mother-in-law was arrested in North Carolina, a U.S. Marshal official said.

Albert James Turner was cuffed without incident Friday afternoon as he sat on a bench at a mall in Concord, according to a Rosenberg Police Department statement.

“I started crying, this has been such a focus to our family that he gets caught," said Darren Frank, the victim’s brother and son.

Concord police found him after they received a tip from someone who saw America's Most Wanted Host John Walsh discuss the murders on the Live With Regis and Kelly show Friday morning.

"It was just a matter of time before this guy got caught. A viewer watching the show immediately recognized Albert Turner and called America's Most wanted," said Deputy Alfredo Perez with the U.S. Marshals.

Turner is accused of fatally stabbing his wife, Keitha Frank Turner, and her mother, 66-year-old Betty Jo Frank, inside a Rosenberg home on Dec. 27. Their four children allegedly witnessed the murders.

Darren Frank and his wife are now caring for the couple’s kids.

“The oldest one said I know he did something really wrong, but I know that he's a good dad, so there are a lot of mixed emotions. I have to say they just love him," said Frank.

Two days later, investigators found Turner's car submerged in the Chattahoochee River in Georgia, but he was no where to be found.

Turner was featured on America's Most Wanted in January, and the national television show planned to feature him again Saturday.

He is awaiting extradition to Fort Bend County, where he stands trial for two murder charges, according to the statement.
