RICHMOND, Texas - Deputies say two men entered a northeast Fort Bend County house and shot a resident during a home invasion.
The robbery attempt and shooting took place on Wednesday before midnight at the 6900 block of Descartes Drive in Richmond.
Investigators say two young black men with rang the doorbell of the home and forced their way inside when the resident answered the door. The men used guns to threaten the resident and demanded money.
The resident was shot in the chest area and taken by emergency medical services to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
The two suspects escaped from the area and traveled in an undetermined direction.
One of the suspects is described as a black man between 19 and 23 years old who wore a red jacket with a hood, a black bandana over his face and gray sweat pants.
The second suspect is described as a black man between 19 and 23 years old who wore a black jacket with his face covered.
