72-Year-Old Among Drug Dealing Suspects

HOUSTON - A 72-year-old man was among six suspects arrested during two drug busts in Brazoria County.

Jimmy Wallace Childress Sr. was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and detectives alleged found several types of narcotics at his home in the 2000 block of Highway 36 in West Columbia Tuesday evening, according to a Brazoria County Sheriff's Office statement. Dennis Tyson, 42, and 47-year-old Julie Dorsett also were arrested on the same charge as Childress during the raid.

Officers discovered 30 grams of Marijuana, 98 grams of Hydrocodone, 96 grams of Carisoprodol, 80 grams of Alprazalam, according to the statement. None of the prescription bottles were marked.

During another drug bust Wednesday, detectives arrested three suspects in an Alvin-area home after investigators found crack cocaine, powder cocaine, codine syrup and weapons during a drug search, according to another statement from the sheriff's department.

David Gonzales Jr., 32, Daniel Garcia, 44, and Jorrge Gonzales, 20, were each arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to the statement.

A woman also was at the home, but she was released without charges, according to the statement.
