A Harris County Precinct 8 deputy constable charged with indecency with a child surrenders at the Harris County jail. Tuesday morning he is expected to turn himself.
Charles Easterling, who agreed to surrender at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, posted a surety bond before 9 a.m.
Easterling, 51, is accused of walking out of his house nude on Nov. 7 with the intent to gratify his sexual desire by allegedly staring at two teenage girls who were playing basketball, according to a probable cause statement. He has been charged with indecency with a child by exposure.
Friendswood police say that Easterling was allegedly standing in his backyard nude and that because his yard did not have a fence, he was quite visible to nearby neighbors.
One of the two girls told a parent that she saw Easterling nude and that parent contacted the Friendswood Police Department.
After a follow-up investigation, the Harris County District Attorney's Office accepted the FPD charges against Easterling on Nov. 13 and an arrest warrant for Easterling was issued on Monday.
The charge against Easterling is a third-degree felony and carries a $5,000 bond. Police contacted Easterling through the Harris County Precinct 8 Constable's Office on Monday and said that he had to surrender to authorities.
