Suspect Sought in Shooting Death of Man

HOUSTON - Houston police are seeking the whereabouts of a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death a man.

Broderick Batiste and Tommy Jacobs are accused of fatally shooting Traveon Brown during a robbery, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. They've both been charged with aggravated assault.

Jacobs has already been arrested, but detectives need help finding Batiste, who is believed to be in the Texas City or Galveston area, according to the statement.

Jacobs and Batiste arrived at Traveon's apartment on Sept. 19 after Jacobs called Traveon and told him he was coming, according to the statement.

While they were inside the apartment, Batiste allegedly pulled out a gun, demanded money from Traveon and then shot him, according to the statement. Traveon died from the shooting.

Batiste is a 30 year old black man who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 260 pounds, according to the statement. He has black hair and brown eyes and also is known as "Big O."
