Investigators have ruled another house fire in The Heights as arson, but they're still trying to determine whether the incident is directly related to the slew of other arson fires in the area.
By the time Houston firefighters responded to an early Wednesday morning house fire at North Main and East 40th Street, the home was completely engulfed in flames, FOX 26 sources said. Firefighters went into defensive mode until the house collapsed.
The home's location is north of the 2-mile section where 17 suspected arson fires have erupted since Aug. 11.
Sources said the homeowner recently died, so no one was living there, but a relative was taking care of the house.
No one was injrued in the fire.
