HOUSTON - A Brazoria County inmate is now a suspect in the summer murder of an 18-year-old whose body was found at a southwest Houston apartment complex, a Houston Police Department spokesperson said.
Kenneth Wayne Glass Jr., 33, was already behind bars at the Brazoria County Jail on unrelated charges when Houston detectives connected him to the July 24 murder of Quincey Lasley Taylor, the spokesperson said.
Taylor's body was discovered in a grassy area at his apartment complex in the 2500 block of Joel Wheaton, the spokesperson said. He had been shot several times.
Detectives determined that Glass was walking through the apartment complex in search for someone who had just burglarized his apartment, the spokesperson said. As he was searching for the suspect, he was struck by gunfire.
