METRO Lot Vehicle Burglar Arrested

2nd suspect remains missing

HOUSTON - One down, one to go as METRO Police have arrested a suspected vehicle burglar and are looking for his alleged accomplice.

Eduardo Robert Salgado, 17, has been charged with burglary of a motor vehicle at the West Bellfort Avenue Park and Ride lot.

Salgado told police that he drove the truck while his partner stole the vehicle's bicycle rack on Oct. 2. according to a METRO Police statement.

Investigators say the vehicle's after-market radio and bicycle rack have not yet been recovered.

METRO police arrested Salgado six days after the alleged burglary.

Security cameras played a role in identifying Salgado at the scene according to the statement. Salgado and his alleged partner in crime were driving a white pickup truck.

Anyone with information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the second suspect is asked to contact Metropolitan Transit Authority Police Department at 713-224-2677.
