Friendswood police arrest a teen who they say was in possession of marijuana and two types of heroin.
Joseph Rodriguez, 19, who lives in Seabrook, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police stopped him on a traffic violation on Tuesday night.
Officers say Rodriguez was driving recklessly on East Parkwood Avenue after 7 p.m. and after stopping him, they smelled the scent of marijuana in the car.
After Rodriguez allowed officers to search his car, they found a half ounce of marijuana, a small bag with 1.1 grams of black tar heroin and a vial of liquid heroin that measured 8.3 grams.
Rodriguez was placed in custody at the Friendswood municipal jail but will be transferred to Galveston County jail with bond set at $25,000.
