Katy ISD Officer Abducted by Fellow Cop

HEMPSTEAD, Texas - Waller county investigators established seven road checks near the area where a Kary ISD officer is believed to have been abducted. Deputies believe her kidnapper -- a fellow officer -- may still be in the area.

Katy ISD police officer Julio Reyes is accused of kidnapping Officer Hillsman. He is the 24-year-old's ex-boyfriend. Police say Reyes took Hillsman by force when she was dropping her children off at her Mother's house in Waller early Monday morning.

Waller County investigators have at least 30 law enforcement officers trying to track down Reyes.
Sheriff Glenn Smith says the current extent of the two officers relationship is a 13-month-old daughter together. However, Smith says they weren't married and didn't live together.

Police say in his current state Reyes could be dangerous. The veteran police officer's side arm and a stun gun cannot be accounted for. His AR 15 was found in his patrol unit at Katy ISD police headquarters.
