Man Finds Cousin Shot to Death

Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Harris County Sheriff's Department investigators say a man returned home to the Carriage Place Apartments in north Harris County and found his cousin, 35-year old Marcus Washington, shot to death in the living room.

Investigators say the victim was last seen alive by his cousin at the apartment they shared, located in the 500 block of Wells Fargo, around 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Around noon, neighbors say they heard the sound of an apparent struggle and deputies confirm that the apartment unit appeared to have been ransacked.

Investigators say that prior to leaving the crime scene, the suspect locked the door.
