HOUSTON - Investigators say a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a man accused of holding clerks at knifepoint while robbing at least five convenience stores in Fort Bend and Brazoria counties.

David Anthony Hutchinson, 36, was arrested in the 1800 block of West Phillips Avenue in Alvin on

an aggravated robbery charge, according to a Crime Stoppers statement.

Hutchinson is accused of robbing four convenience stores in Fort Bend County and a fifth in Brazoria County over the course of five days, detectives have said.

In each robbery, surveillance videos and photos show a knife-wielding suspect demand money from clerk. In some instances, the suspect would hold the knife up to the throat of clerks while forcing them to open to cash drawers.

Investigators say more charges against Hutchinson are pending, according to the statement. In the meantime, he is being held at the Fort Bend County Jail on a $100,000 bond for one aggravated robbery charge.
