Fire Breaks Out at Angleton High School

HOUSTON - No one was injured in a minor fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon at Angleton ISD's Angleton High School.

Officials received a call around 3:50 p.m. about a fire at the high school, which is located in the 1200 block of East Henderson.

Investigators say the fire appears to have started somewhere between the roof and insulation, but they're still unsure what sparked the flames.

Although school was dismissed five minutes early because of the smell that spread through the air, district administrators say classes are expected to resume normally Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, investigators plan on investigating the scene throughout the night to ensure the safety of the facility.

Lake Jackson Fire Department also provided three firetrucks and an ambulance.
