HOUSTON - Sex education for teens via text messages? Yes, it is a reality, and the brainchild of the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Campaign of North Carolina (APPCNC).

The service is called the Birds & the Bees Text Line, where live health professionals receive and answer text questions like:

What are the symptoms of gonorrhea?
Which birth control is the best?
Where can i go to get condoms"

"We never know who these young people are. They never know who were are. they know they are talking to professionals and we keep it that way as far as answers," said Kay Phillips, executive director of APPCNC.

Teen pregnancy has been on the rise and on everyone's mind since Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter announced she was pregnant. Seventeen-year-old Bristol Palin now says she wished she would have waited to have sex.
