HOUSTON - Teenage students get a chance to step into the real world of business thanks to a unique opportunity.

Fifteen students were chosen out of a pool of 100, to take part in the Youth Entrepreneurship Academy.

Their challenge was to give a real life pitch to the owner of a real company here in Houston. They were broken into groups and given a very limited time frame.

"It's taking a client's idea and making sure you stay within his or her guidelines and making something phenomenal that nobody else will think of," describes Phillip Lopez.

So, what did Byron Carter of Pretty Quick Delivery Services" think?

"The groups touched on so many different points. They made a good point on my website and also came up with so many innovative idea on how I need to market."

For founder and CEO of the Texas Business Alliance, Jeffrey Boney, its the realization that small businesses employs more than half the work force and that corporate America may not be for everyone.

"You'll have a good foundation. You'll have the basic knowledge, not just theoretically, but practically to be a successful business owner in life." says Boney.
